Costa Rica zipline

Other Costa Rica sights: San JoseFirefighters, Manuel Antonio Park, Disquis spheres, Costa Rica Flora, Costa Rica Fauna, Costa Rica Beverages, Arenal, Tram and Pineapple plantation

We had a day before our guided tour was to begin so we took advantage to hire a driver to take us to a Zipline adventure at Canopy San Louis.
It was about a 1.5 hour drive north west of our hotel in San Jose.
On the way we traveled along the mountains that make a ridge through the center of the country.

On the way we saw ash/dust in the air from the eruption of the Poás volcano which had been erupting for several months.

The air cleared as we went further on.
There were small farms with mules and cattle on the hillsides.

Here is gear for the trip through the trees and us ready to go.

A koala was on hand to show us how it was done.

We both enjoyed multiple zips

The cameraman got shots of us from below

Sometimes we went backwards

As well as ziplines there was a Tarzan swing.
You get a push and fly 180 ft (55 meters) above the Cataraticas river

Nancy was ready to go but changed her mind at the last second.

Here is Alan's Tarzan swing.

The Superman slide reaches speeds of 50 MPH (that's 80 KPH).
We were cautioned to keep our arms close to out body to avoid being damaged when we came close to trees.
Here we are coming in for a landing.

Nancy had to show how she flew through the air.

And we congratulated each other with a kiss.

Our guide Marlon Brando.
At least that is what he said his name was.
