We usually ask for a local beer when we travel.
Here are some of those that we enjoyed in towns along our Rhine river trip from Switzerland to
the Netherlands.
In Basel, Switzerland we had Kostrizer, a dark color but surprisingly light flavored
beer.
It is actually a German beer.
The excellent Veli is brewed in Basel so is a truly local beer.
The Warteck Pic is a Swiss made pilsner Light in color and flavor.

and another flavorful Basel brew.
We tried several of these but I can't find my notes on my ratings. Sorry
In Strasbourg we sampled another enjoyable brew.
We had another great brew in Braubach
I unfortunately missed getting a picture of the brew at this brauhaus in Cologne
And another from Cologne

In Volendam we enjoyed this brew.
